Vandy Fusion Reaches Goal of $30,000

We are pleased to announce that we have reached and surpassed our funding goal of $30,000 for the first iteration of our IEC fusion reactor. The team raised $31,575 in total. We are incredibly grateful for the support from Vanderbilt's Office of the Chancellor, Suzanne & Michael Ainslie, Stephanie & John Ingram, Hatch Investments LLC, and private alumni donors who helped us reach this milestone.

Over the upcoming weeks, we will be finalizing our design, attaining the necessary reactor components, and assembling the reactor. We expect to produce our first fusion reaction by the end of the school year.

We also recently met with the Director of Fusion at Oak Ridge National Laboratory and are meeting with Avalanche Energy Designs, a VC-backed fusion startup, and the Fusion Industry Association. Vandy Fusion will also be attending the Mid-South Innovation Summit. We are excited to continue driving innovation at Vanderbilt and beyond.
